Tilt pour

Among all casting processes, tilt casting is nowadays also simulated through the most modern software.

Since several years XC Engineering uses for this purposes the software FLOW-3D Cast, leader for foundry simulations.

FLOW-3D Cast can manage very complex tilt movements, even involving multiple parts, considering heat transfer effects between all modelled parts.

The metal dynamics is very accurate and realistic, and FLOW-3D Cast becomes a powerful tool for understanding where defects had origin, tracking their paths, and modify the design till an optimized casting is reached.

The information extractable from the simulation are almost infinite, with a large section dedicated to all common kind of defects of foundry processes.

XC Engineering provides the consultancy service as well as the software for everyone wants to have this tool in-house.
