The annual FLOW-3D conference is the perfect opportunity to present the year’s work and to learn about the experiences of other FLOW-3D users.
Here we present a case study from the last edition, in the field of additive manufacturing by Giovanni Chianese of the University of Naples Federico II. In the video we show the result of an RLW (Remote Laser Welding) simulation, in which small metal sheets of different materials are welded together. This is a process which is particularly used by the battery pack manufacturing industry.
The model was calibrated and validated with experimental results.
